Snow?!*#?!

I'm pretty sure that todays downpour of snow is my fault.  I still have my Christmas lights on the house and a pine bough wreath on my front door.  This is natures way of telling me to move on, Christmas is over.  Point taken mother nature!  I'll get a new wreath!  Just don't send any  more snow!!!

But even though I wasn't thrilled to see a foot of white fluff covering my freshly cultivated flower beds, Swayzi was beside herself.  As soon as she looked out her bedroom window and saw snow, she HAD to have her snowboots on.  We ate breakfast, played wii, made crafts, and rode the power wheels in snow boots until I finally gave in and put the rest of her snow gear on and took her out to play in it.  As you can see- she LOVED it!

This is our family in snow- Wayzi's idea- as was the brocoli and the grapes.  My big contribution was the carrot noses- I'm super creative ;) We had more grapes for their mouths, but Swayz needed a snack while we were working.

Happy Valentines Day!

Valentines breakfast and goodies!  And I LOVE that crazy hair :)

Extra snuggly Valentines day squeezes from Daddy are the BEST!

Swayzi wanted to make her Daddy a big valentines day cookie.  She made a huge mess, but the cookie turned out pretty cute- complete with a few assorted chocolates, red hots, a cup of sprinkles and last but not least, a green frosting "snake."  What a chef!

Swayzi loves to go across the street to the Bishops house and pet the sheep!

Swayzi's valentines day outfit from Nanny!  (Thank you Mom!!!  You always keep her looking so dang cute!)
Chris and I stayed at the Grand America and they have a WAY cute sweet shop that had pink and white chocolate covered strawberries.  We brought some home for Sway and she is a big fan!  Chris also took me to the ballet to see sleeping beauty.  It was a BLAST!  Thanks Honey!  I love you!

My latest project:

My parents gave me their old dining room set, and while painted on fruit and
basket weave seat cushions were super trendy years ago,
 not so much now.

I stripped them and painted them black and reupholstered the cushions with a super cute black and cream damask-type print.  I think they turned out ok!
Thank goodness I had such great helpers!  I don't know if I
could have done it without my little monster!

I also refinished this curio cabinet  a while back. It was mahogany with a mirrored backing and i painted it black to match the dining set and lined the back with a velvet and silk print.

Swayzi's spooky party

 Happy Halloween!!!

Thanks to everyone that came to Swayzi's spooky party this year!  She had a blast!

California Beach House Vacation

Last summer we went to Cali and stayed in a couple of different beach houses.  The boys flew out half way through our trip to join us. (their bosses aren't as nice as ours and they wouldn't let them take the extra vacation time)  We had so much fun!  Swayzi just LOVED the beach!

I Love This Girl!!!

Smoochin' on the back deck of our beach house just outside of Pizmo beach

We had a BLAST!!!  Two weeks of pure relaxing heaven.  Thanks Mom and Dad for the great memories!!!  Love Ya!!!

Jason and Danielle's wedding (from August- yikes I'm behind)

Jason and Dani's cake I made.  Turned out ok! and it didn't even get crushed on the drive from Spanish Fork to Layton!  Phew!!!
She started way behind the ring bearer boys,
but she sprinted down the aisle and knocked them out of her way.

Yep, that sprinting blur is my crazy Swayzi.  Perhaps not the most reverent flower girl ever, but she sure is the cutest, and she had a lot of fun doing it!
My Gorgeous sister in law Danielle and her new husband Jason.  We're so happy for you guys!  Congrats!

Swayzi wasn't sure what to think of the whole wedding ceremony thing.  And I think her daddy looks a little sad!  He's kind of a protective big bro, and I'm not sure he was ready for his baby sis to get married!

My Mother in law Carla with our new baby nephew Ryker!  SO Cute!
Congrats Jason and Dani!!!
Most beautiful flower girl EVER!!!
